When right side up it displays the time in the center, the month and day in the top left, the year in the top right, and the day of the week in the bottom row. When you flip the clock to the right it auto readjusts the display to be right side up but the clock changes to the alarm setting mode. Flip the clock to the right again and the display readjusts again and shows a programmable stop watch setting. Flip it again and you get the temperature that can be set to view fahrenheit or celsius. Every time you flip the clock it's flashy lights come on and it beeps once as it changes displays. If you do not touch the clock for a little over 10 seconds then it's light will go off but the digital display will stay on. It's alarm is a mild repeating beep. Size is about 3 inches square (7.6cm) and about 1 1/2 inches deep (3.9cm). Takes three "AAA" batteries (not included).
